OUR EVOLUTION from FARM to SATELLITE to FIBER:
Empire Wireless LLC started decades ago on the family farm. Raub Sr, Founder and Co-Owner started exploring satellite systems for two houses on the family farm back in the early 80’s. He was offered a dealership from Dish Network if he purchased 3 systems. So, for over 45 years, Empire Wireless, LLC Dish Authorized Retailer has served tens of thousands of customers across the region and earned a reputation for reliability, integrity, and exceptional customer care.
Empire Wireless, LLC to Town to Farm Fiber:
As technology changed and streaming became the future, the business needed to evolve. We was decided to become an Internet Service Provider (ISP), drawing on our decades of technical and customer support; it was a good fit.
However, our parent company's name, Empire Wireless LLC, was too similar to others in the regional ISP industry. During a meeting with Southern Tier Network (STN), someone pointed out something simple but powerful: we started on a farm, and now we would be selling fiber internet. That conversation inspired the transition from "Farm to Fiber" into "Town to Farm Fiber”. So, Town to Farm Fiber is a product that Empire Wireless, LLC sells.
WHO is SOUTHERN TIER NETWORK (STN):
STN was created to strengthen the Southern Tier region by improving access to high-quality broadband. They were built through a public-private partnership with Southern Tier Central Regional Planning and Developmental Board, Corning Incorporated, and county governments across the region. Their mission is to support economic growth, improve critical systems like public safety and emergency communications, and to bring fiber internet to the Southern Tier Region. STN builds and maintains the physical fiber network. Our partnership with STN allows us, Town to Farm Fiber, to deliver the actual internet service to homes and businesses.
Delivering the internet is the easy part; what makes us special is our commitment to customer care. At "Town to Farm Fiber" we go the extra mile and provide help with connectivity issues for all your connected devices. Phones, tv’s, security systems, cameras, cc processing; etc,. Being in business for close to 50 years has taught us people need help and we are here for you.
It all started back on the Family Farm
Westbrook Farm began in the 1970s when the Smith Family relocated from NJ. Rob was exploring satellite systems and learned from Dish that by purchasing three systems, he could become a dealer and provide better customer service.
Empire Wireless LLC
The satellite systems business was a success for many years until streaming came along, prompting a need to evolve. Empire Wireless LLC, known for its exceptional customer service, remains our parent company.
Town to Farm Fiber
After exploring various business opportunities, we decided to pursue the creation of an ISP, leveraging our experience with satellite systems and a strong focus on customer service. We recognized that customer service is often lacking in many businesses, and we aimed to bring exceptional service to our new venture.
